I am the divisional manager for water services at Digby Wells and enjoy the multi-faceted work in the water sector. I like teamwork and multi-disciplinary projects in which water plays an important factor. My interests are sustainable water use, renewable energy, mine water management, artificial recharge, aquifer thermal energy storage and rare earth element (REE) mining. I am a Dutch citizen, hold a South African permanent residence permit and am SACNASP registered (Pr. Sci. Nat.).My background is in hydrogeology and soil science and I have vast experience in mine water management and soil conservation. I have over 19 years' experience ranging from project management to field work and have worked in countries across Europe (The Netherlands and Ireland) and Africa (South Africa, Lesotho, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, the DRC, Sierra Leone, Senegal and Mauretania).My groundwater modelling experience includes large scale mine dewatering, construction dewatering, thermal modelling for ATES systems, organic and inorganic contaminant plume modelling and small-scale trench dewatering.
