My team consisted out of a mix of permanent employees as well as contractors working at different locations (Leiden, Enschede, London). In my role as team lead I was responsible for defining and assigning the work scope, ensuring the quality of the output and providing support and guidance where needed. Paper was reviewed by 3rd parties, submitted and approved but unfortunately withdrawn after HMC decided to discontinue pipelay.• Created the FE methodology on how to safely spool and reel MLP minimizing the risk of wrinkles in the liner material.• Participated in meetings organized by certifying authorities (DNV) on Joint industry projects and provided feedback and comments on updates of codes.• Manage and Approve analyses work related to spooling & reeling pipeline for all Projects and Tenders.• Manage and Approve pipeline integrity analyses work related to holding the pipe using friction equipment for all Projects and Tenders.• In case of offshore execution mishaps, involved to determine the root cause or to verify if a structure or pipeline was still fit for purpose. Projects my team supported were: Ichthys, Big Foot and Kaombo. -
