FUSIMO FP7 European project. Specific task: analyze and improve MRgFUS workflow.FUSIMO aims to develop a patient specific model for control and prediction of the outcome of MR-guided Focussed Ultrasound Surgery in moving organs, like the liver. These techniques will enable quick removal of tumors without any traditional surgery (no incisions) in conscious patients.Working actively at and with partners in Scotland, United Kingdom, Norway, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Romania, Czech Republic, Israel, and Sweden. Spent two months doing workflow studies in Rome and Dachau.

Analysis of the causes of insertion problems and pain during flexible endoscopy and surgical interventions with flexible endoscopes.Research on and development of rigidifiable shaft-guides for flexible endoscopes. Department Orthopedic Surgery. VibrantVision project: Developing a novel ultrasound technique to detect cartilage defects in the ankle joint.

Designed, realised and implemented software packages to print labels on bags and cups of nuts that are packed by the 17 production lines at Imko B.V. in Hardinxveld-Giessendam ('ISB manager').Other software packages: HACCP cleaning management and registration software ('NClean') and efficacy monitorring software ('IMKOEE').

Technical problem analysis on colonoscopes and colonoscopy. Revealed the fundamental causes that make colonoscopy unpleasant for the patient and difficult for the endoscopist. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Paul Fockens.

At Imko B.V. Hardinxveld-Giessendam (part of The Nut Company) I designed, realised and implemented a software package for machine management and maintenance ('IMA manager'). In Hardinxveld-Giessendam hundreds of machines are being maintained using this software package.
