Part of the Executive management, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the CCO, CFO and COO.Have a broad cross-functional role supporting various areas of the Commercial, Financial and Operational departments of the airline.flydubai has launched 100+ routes since its inception in June 2009 and added 50x 737-800NG aircraft into the fleet, with another 11x NGs and 75x 737-8 MAX aircraft still to be introduced over the coming years. Already profitable within just four years of launch and operating with one of the highest utilised fleet in the industry, delivering efficiency and lowering unit costs across the business.Key responsibilities- Direct the network strategy for the airline to meet both short and long term objectives.- Direct the production of operationally feasible and profitable airline schedules. - Direct production of new route evaluations. - Evaluate new aircraft types and configurations and develop the fleet plan- Lead, develop and mentor a team of schedulers and analysts,- Liaising with local and foreign civil aviation authorities to promote growth in traffic rights and route approvals.- Financial modelling and competitor analysis- Forecasting of medium to long term airport requirements- Direct the management of the slot portfolio of the airline- Part of the Risk Steering committee for the airline- Expertise in airline start-ups and airline business planning

Headed the Network Planning & Scheduling team at flydubai, responsible for all planning activities at flydubai.

> Instrumental in developing the business case for flydubai, whilst working for Emirates Airline Planning department. > Developed complex financial models to simulate various scenarios to assess the financial performance of the start up> Carried out due diligence of the assumptions through competitor benchmarking and other analysis. > Route and aircraft evaluation - to assess the optimal route and fleet mix > Provided guidance and support to the various working groups that were set up once the airline was formed> Assisted with regulatory compliance and international affairs.

Directed and managed a wide variety of projects in the Route Planning section of the Planning Department as one of the senior managers in the team. Routinely developed new route analyses, fleet requirement studies, preparation of revenue budgets, traffic and revenue forecasts, as well as involvement in many ad-hoc special projects, including a macro financial planning model for Emirates.Played a lead role in championing the Management Information Systems available to the Company, including the evaluation of Pax-IS, as a potential cost-saving replacement to MIDT bookings data, the evaluation of a Network Planning System to optimise network revenue, and the development of an in-house Route Planning System used to carry out end-to-end detailed route evaluations featuring modules to analyse schedules, market sizes, market shares, fares etc.

Provided analytical support to the Managers of the Planning team, particularly focussing on route planning, long term planning and network management. Took an active lead in developing the in-house management information systems to bring about process improvements to improve the quality and accuracy of the work. Worked closely with Commercial and Revenue Management departments.
