As a clinical research coordinator, I recruited patients for clinical trials primarily aimed to alleviate symptoms of Parkinson's Disease and increase quality of life. After patient recruitment, I conducted study visits and ensured that all procedures were completed as per the protocol, including EKGs and blood draws. Additionally, I became certified in assessing the severity of Parkinson's Disease symptoms using the Movement Disorder Society - Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS). These scales were used by the clinical team to guide patient treatment and evaluate patients as candidates for Deep Brain Stimulation therapy.

Instructed a group of 24 undergraduate students throughout a term for the lab portion of a freshman biology course; the first 5 weeks consisted of various animal dissections while the next five weeks were ecology based labs. I oversaw lab safety throughout the term while teaching key course objectives and assisting students with laboratory techniques.
