Digital Marketing has become so important, because it is not only a rapidly growing force in the current marketing field, it is set to be the future of marketing. Though it is a challenge in a country like Sri Lanka but it seems likely that digital media will soon replace more traditional forms altogether. Following are some key attributes of my role. • Asia Broadcasting Corporation is Sri Lanka's Largest and the Number One Media Network. My role is to overlook Sales & Marketing of the company's Digital Portfolio, which includes news portals, entertainment portals, mobile apps (on Android & iOS), Facebook pages and on all other social media platforms.• The role also includes effective use of Google Adsense and also to monetize in all possible means.• Planning Digital Propositions for Brands, Products and Services to reach the right Target Group and generate genuine leads. • Managing Ad Campaigns on Digital Mediums - Maintaining the brand presence on social media websites to engage and stimulate current audiences and attract new ones.• Planning and Executing Digital Media Campaigns across our Portfolio of Websites and Mobile Applications for our clients. • Daily liaison with advertising agencies to keep them updated on the new trends of digital advertising and also propose innovative digital strategies which they could pitch to their clients. • To plan viral contextual Ad Campaigns for clients, in form of content marketing, story telling, etc. • To educate and assist clients who are predominantly into traditional ways of advertising, to shift into new mediums by guiding them on various propositions in the digital space. •To help clients to understand the fullest potential of this medium as I believe digital advertising can transmit a marketing message to consumers for the merest fraction of the cost of a TV ad or print campaign, and potentially reach a wider audience.
