I am an Architect-Urban Planner with more than 19 years of experience of working on large scale architecture, urban regeneration, station area accessibility plans, bus terminal designs, multi modal transport integration projects, street design projects, landscape design and interior design projects. I am the director of the planning and design consultancy firm URBINTARCH which I co-founded. I have also been teaching at Faculty of Planning, CEPT University in the capacity of Visiting Faculty from July 2015-November 2022 and as Adjunct Assistant Professor from November 2022 onwards.Some of the notable projects I have worked on are Station Area Accessibility Plans for Mumbai Metro Rail-MMRDA, Station Design and Station Precinct designs for Automated Rapid Transit System (ARTS) for Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Public Transport Infrastructure Design for Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Campus Building Designs for National Institute of Design (NID), Charminar Pedestrianisation Project-Hyderabad, Street Design Guidelines for Hyderabad Metropolitan Area and Architectural designs for seven municipal schools in Gandhinagar. A lot of these projects were in challenging contexts and required very sensitive context specific design solutions.I have worked with LEA Associates South Asia Pvt. Ltd. as an urban planner from 2004-2006. The most notable project during this tenure was the multi-award winning project Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS), Ahmedabad. I have also worked with Riverbank Developers Pvt. Ltd. from 2006-2011 on a very interesting and challenging integrated township project known as Calcutta Riverside. My role here was of a Design and Planning Manager, and involved extensive coordination between architectural design consultants, landscape designers and infrastructure consultants and the site execution team.
