Designed, Implemented Data Platform and pipeline for North America Capacity Planning & Execution team

First Data Engineer at Amazon Export and Expansion Team, supported analytics, reporting and ML use cases for 3 Amazon business i) Amazon Export ii) Amazon Global Store iii) Country Expansion.Designed, built data platform as part of Project MARS ( Making Analytics and Reporting Scalable). The goal of this project was to make data platform 2x faster, 25% cheaper ( reduce YoY cost from 25% to 15%) and scalable for next 5 years & to support several new country launches. This was achieved by separating storage from compute and leveraging right tools & technology for each work load. 150 Data pipelines were built on this design and I had implemented 38 out of them.Tech Stack used in the project were Spark, Redshift, RDS, Glue, AWS Lake formation and home grown Amazon tools and technologies.Mentored 4 Data Engineers, 3 BIEs, 2 BAs and conducted more than 100 interviews for different teams across Amazon.

• Joined as Trainee Software Engineer through campus placement.• Designed and built data warehouse for multiple subject areas such Target.com, distribution center and guest analytics. • Gained expertise over data warehousing concept and technologies such as DB2, Teradata, DataStage and ControlM. • One of the first few employees to conduct POC on Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Scoop and oozie.
