The Rural Modern Glass Studio, nestled in Chembur, Mumbai, is the city's first hot glass studio. The studio looks to take inspiration from Indian culture, its colours, textures and stories, and philosophy of rural crafts to create a new style of Indian Modernism that celebrate the qualities of Indian glass.

Arjun Rathi is the principal of the self named multidisciplinary design practice operating from Mumbai, India. Established in 2012, the work has gained national recognition for its explorative approach towards design processes.ABOUT USMany of us spend the majority of our time living and working in different environments lit by artificial light. As a studio we aim to interpret space through the lens of lighting, design fixtures and installations that can capture our imagination and inspire us in these spaces. Working on both ends of the designspectrum, from single pieces made together with craftsmen to mass produced objects developed in collaboration with the manufacturers; the studio is not defined by a particular style, but rather by questioning objects while considering their context and cultural associations embedded in them.HOW WE WORKWe take care of each project phase, from on-site visits, exploratory studies, design and technical drawings to the final production and space atmosphere. Depending on the commission, we either design with a specific space in mind, or we work detached from it, sometimes resulting in a productusable in various spaces. The final product and accessories are always produced in ourmanufactory, and therefore quality-certified.

At Indiabulls I was the senior project coordinator the following projects:The Panvel Greens Township, Phase II (28acres)Jodhpur Mega Mall (950,000 sft)Kota Mega Mall (450,000 sft)Roles and Responsibilities were as follows:Monitoring the designs conceptualized for all projects and all segments are in line with product positioning, market requirements and cost parameters (as per design brief and vision document)Identifying and guiding partners for design both locally & globally and relevant to different business segments of the company.Initiating and driving strategic improvement projects in design to enhance quality and cost competitiveness.Check the product, code and design standards with other developers.Review all designs with the design team and partners and get the necessary support and buy in from other functions.Participate as a member of the management committee in all key decisions for the projects.Monitor the pre design stage with respect to planning module and identify bottle neck.MIS/ Weekly/ Fortnight reports for critical and Risk areas.Develop team capabilities and keep updated with the latest trends.Interaction with Design Team and other projects consultants.
