Over 16 years of experience as an architect and urbanist, having worked on a myriad of architectural design typologies across South East Asia, South Asia, East Asia, the Middle East and Australia.Arjun thrives in diverse multidisciplinary teams, where a holistic approach and varied design processes/ approach are opportunities to grow and learn.Being a naturalised Singaporean that holds an Overseas Indian Citizen status, Arjun is able to adapt and embrace change. Having serviced projects with DPA Singapore such as Resorts World Sentosa, Wisma Atria and most notably Sunday HQ (winner of the Presidents Design Award, Singapore), along with projects overseas in Hanoi and Yangon, Arjun was seconded to the DP Architects Kuala Lumpur Studio in 2017.During his secondment in Malaysia, Arjun’s primary assignment was The Tun Razak Exchange Lifestyle Quarter (2.2 million sqft of Retail) and Bukit Bintang Plaza (a mixed use development in the heart of KL). In addition to these Arjun undertook various design competitions/ feasibility studies while also working on a secondary school at Desa Park, KL and Coronation Square Office tower in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.Arjun returned to Singapore mid 2019 to undertake works on the Certis HQ office campus, Guangzhou Knowledge City masterplan competition (winning entry) and Bangalore Airport Retail Dining Entertainment Village competition (winning entry). Being promoted to Associate Director in 2021, Arjun has also been involved in contracts, fee negotiations and maintaining team financial health. Aligned with the vision for the firm to expand operations in north India post pandemic, Arjun has been involved in projects and research that assist him to understand the local market and positioning. Having worked on commercial projects in Goa, Noida, Delhi and Gurgaon, in July 2022, Arjun was seconded to India to setup the Delhi NCR studio, where he is largely currently based. Arjun has worked with various developers such as Far East Organisation, LendLease, OUE, Royal Brothers, FEC, DLF, M3M, RMZ and Saya Homes, and is able to comprehend their product positioning, project expectations and end-user experience in order to engage in the process of co-creation.Being a registered Architect with the Council of Architecture India, Arjun is also currently undertaking the Board of Architects Singapore Professional Practice Examination. In the spirit of lifelong learning in order to contribute to the built environment, Arjun is also preparing for the LEED Green Associate Examination and understanding BIM processes and workflow.
