In middle school, I was addicted to Runescape, Club Penguin, and World of Warcraft, and came up with an idea for a virtual goods marketplace, similar to an eBay for in-game currencies and items. My dad built and operated the startup through its $240M sale to VISA in 2011. Although I was too young to be involved with any work beyond ideation, QA, and product feedback, I had a daily front row seat to what it takes to build something from nothing, which inspired me to pursue building and operating a startup myself, Stoodle, focused on social impact.
