Arjun is a Partner with the M&A and Private Equity teams at Saraf and Partners in New Delhi and Bangalore. Arjun focuses on private equity and venture capital investments, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, transaction documentation, due diligence and other commercial advisory work. He also has experience in IT and media work as well as corporate litigation. Prior to joining Saraf and Partners in 2021, Arjun was a Partner with L&L Partners in the same locations for around 2 years. Prior to that, Arjun worked as a Partner with Krishnamurthy & Co for over a year and Principal Associate with Khaitan & Co in New Delhi for over 4 years, specialising in similar areas of law. He worked for over 5 years with Nishith Desai Associates at their Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi offices.Some notable transactions on which he has advised include advising GTI Capital in relation to Goldman Sachs’ investment of US$ 60 million in SAMHI Hotels and on its investments in Air Works, Sandhar Technologies, Brattle Foods and Webklipper Technologies; Quadria Capital in relation to its investments in the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology and Concord Biotech; Advised B9 Beverages (makers of Bira 91 beer) in relation to multiple investments from Sequoia Capital and on several ancillary and operational matters; Hanwha QCells (Korea) on various investments in solar power projects in India; Welspun Renewables in relation to its investment from DEG; NEA, in relation to its investments in Air Works and Naaptol; Dalmia Cement in relation to various acquisitions in the cement sector; SIS-Prosegur Security in relation to its acquisition of the cash management services division of ISS-SDB Security; and Providence Equity Partners on its investment of US$ 60 million in UFO Moviez (nominated for ‘PE Deal of the Year, 2012’ by IFLR India); besides providing continuing advice to Apollo Hospitals, V-Mart Retail, the WestRock Company and GE India on various matters.
