Acting as Designated Person Ashore & Company Security Officer for Spring Ship Management, UAE & vessels in fleet.Ensuring the link between the vessels and company, with direct access to the highest level of management.Monitoring the safety and pollution prevention aspects of the ships in fleet.Gathering and analyzing data from hazardous occurrences/situations, near misses, incidents and accidents and apply the lessons learnt to improve the SMS.Carrying out internal audits both ashore and onboard all ships.Conducting inspections on board to monitor activities relating to effective implementation of SMS.Conducting Ship Security Assessment(SSA) and preparation of Ship Security Plan (SSP).Arranging periodical audits by Administration & RO as required.

Ensuring the safe operation of about 23 ships in fleet range from 998 GRT to 40037 GRT, all classed by IACS class, while enforcing all statutory and mandatory regulations put forward by National Authorities, International Regulatory Bodies, Classification Societies etc.Responsible for maintaining and updating Integrated SMS Manuals as per latest rules & regulations.Inspecting for any HSQE related deficiencies onboard the ships in fleet and rectification.Ensuring all ships maintain all safety related equipment's in good order with the assistance from Technical Superintendents.Preparing the ships & office for ISM/ISO audits and other external audits with the help & guidance from DPA.Inspection of any P&I and H&M related deficiencies onboard and rectification.Ensuring the ships in fleet undergoes periodical surveys & docking as required by informing the classification societies in advance.Preparation of Ballast Water Management Plan (D1 & D2), SEEMP Part II, Ship to Ship Transfer Plan, Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan, Cyber Security Plan etc. and obtaining approval from ship's RO.Submission of IMO DCS/EU MRV data annually for ships>5000 GRT and ensuring compliance with MARPOL Annex VI.Assisting CSO in carrying out Ship Security Assessment and preparing Ship Security PlanSupervising repairs & maintenance of Navigation & Communication equipment on bridge.Supervising and organizing all LSA/FFA periodical services.Assisting DPA to conduct ISM audits on ships in fleet every year.Monitoring necessary processes are established, implemented and maintained; reporting to executive management on how well the system is performing and what improvements are needed; and promoting awareness throughout the company of the QMS and the customer requirements it was designed to meet.Maintaining records of all PSC, Class, Flag & Vetting Inspection for ships in fleet.Monitoring the trend in voyage performance and daily consumption of the ships in fleet.
