As a PhD Student in Banerjee lab at VIDO-InterVac, University of Saskatchewan, Canada, I am passionate about advancing the knowledge and understanding of molecular virology and coronaviruses. I am currently working on a project that aims to elucidate the mechanisms and regulation of RNA synthesis in coronaviruses, which are the causative agents of various human and animal diseases, including COVID-19. I have a strong background in virology, having completed my M.Sc in Virology from the National Institute of Virology, India, where I worked as a Project Intern in the Hepatitis Group. I have acquired multiple skills and certifications in molecular virology, reverse genetics systems, cloning, molecular-based techniques, mammalian cell culture-based techniques, biosafety, and laboratory safety. I am proficient in English, Bengali, and Hindi. My goal is to contribute to preventing and controlling viral diseases through innovative and collaborative research.
