During this postdoctoral stay, I needed to develop a piece of research and presented a talk about my thesis.

Co-teaching of three courses at bachelor and master level. Practical Spanish III, Advanced Grammar and Spanish Sociolinguistics and Dialectology.

I worked with scientific research in Spanish linguistics.

I thaught Practical Spanish. The main aim of the course is improving the four abilities that a language learner needs: writing, reading, speaking and listening.

As I PhD candidate, I worked basically with scientific research. I developed a thesis about the use of the gerund form in the Spanish of Mérida, Venezuela. One of my duties as a PhD student was to teach Spanish at bachelor and master level. So I dedicated 25% of my time in teaching. I thaught Spanish sociolinguistics and dialectology, advanced grammar and practical Spanish. I acquired knowledge of LaTeX syntax code and EndNote in order to write my dissertation and scientific articles. I presented partial results of my research in conferences and wrote some articles that were published in international journals of linguistics.

As a proofreader, I ensured texts were free of typographical, grammatical, spelling, punctuation, syntax, formatting mistakes. I worked as a team with authors, proofreaders and the Department of Graphic Design. At the end of my time here, I was responsible for designing and proofreading of a book, under the supervision of the Department of Graphic Design. I acquired basic skills in using InDesign.

I was responsible for updating and checking daily sales report, bookkeeping at the end of the shift, executing inventory and stocking of goods and merchandise inside the store and other administrative tasks.

I collected and transcribed recordings of oral speech from Spanish speaker from the city of Mérida, Venezuela in order to build a corpus of oral texts.
