I have traveled extensively since 1974. In addition, I have worked for a major hotel chain, a Caribbean time-share, a cruise line and two travel agencies. It is no wonder that now as a retired educator, I decided to open my own travel agency. I am a home agent for Cruise Brothers, an Diamond-rated agency with CLIA (Cruise Line International Association). That means that we rank in the top 29 travel agencies in the world. I am very proud of that affiliation, obviously. Cruise brother provides weekly webinars. These training webinars help to keep me and my agents up to date with the technology of the cruise line industry, deployments, and the latest news in the industry. In addition, each cruise line provides training webinars, seminars-at-sea, and ship inspections, which we attend to keep us informed of the latest innovations. Facebook pages and magazine subscriptions on the web also help to stay current. Every day brings a new trend in the travel industry, so staying current is imperative. It's almost like being in school.
