Work with the Undergraduate Scholarship Office on the recruitment of Fiat Lux scholars. During the fall semester, I shall outreach to high schools: collaborate with Scholarship offices to decide schools to outreach, contact high schools to set up dates, match Fiat Lux Officers/Scholars with dates, and develop Fiat Lux Outreach Training in collaboration with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. I am also responsible for spreading awareness of the Fiat Lux Scholarship through presentations held at various partner high schools, both in-person and remotely. Good communication skills necessary for coordinating with partner school faculty and staff, scholarship office staff, and fellow Executive Office members. During the spring, I shall be responsible for creating content to present to partner high schools and plan for a small “open house”/ campus tour.

Support the design, fabrication, programming and game play of a small robot from existing metal and plastic kit materials with control and communications provided by Android phones and a specified power/control distribution device.

The Investigative Reporting Program, in collaboration with Stanford, a consortium of California's largest news organizations, and the Berkeley Institute of Data Science is building and analyzing a first-of-its-kind dataset of police misconduct at every law enforcement agency in California. Our main tool is a new state transparency law, SB 1421, that for the first time makes public internal affairs reports and other records of police officers accused of dishonesty, sexual assault or involved in use of force incidents. With this dataset, this collaboration hopes to produce groundbreaking investigative journalism that sheds new light on years of police misconduct throughout the entire state.
