“Making a difference” is such a simple phrase and yet it is hard too commit to. I aspire to be just that, the impact on someone’s life. I aspire to be the voice of the unheard. The lending hand that is always there to help. Ever since I was a child, I knew that I wanted to help others. I want to add value to people’s lives. Everyone deserves a chance to explain themselves. I strive to become a well-rounded criminal defense attorney. I want to translate my client’s truth and communicate it in a court of law. I am currently enrolled in DePaul Law School. I am a National Louis Alumni, majoring in Criminal Justice and Harper College Alumni, from which I obtained two associate degrees, one in Law Enforcement and one in General Education. I have previous office experience working as a Legal Assistant for Cohen, Donahue & Salazar Law Group. For example, I handled clients' concerns; maintained the firm's calendar, notarized sensitive documents, translated English to Spanish and vice versa for real estate transactions. Prior to my experience at CDS Law Group, I worked at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant as an Office Manager Assistant. It was in this position that I developed my communication, organizational, and most importantly interpersonal skills. For example, along with delegating the working staff with assignments and tasks, I learned how to interact with clients. Through this experience I demonstrated the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and problem solve.
