My passion for learning and working in the computer science field stems from an interest in programming and computer science since I was a child. I can distinctly recall my time in a programming camp, when I would stay inside at lunches, determined to learn binary and hexadecimal. I am eager to learn, spending my free time learning new programming languages, software, and cybersecurity techniques. I am currently working as a Student Ambassador with ShiftKey Labs and I am a 4th year Computer Science student at Dalhousie. I have an interest in cybersecurity and networking, and have gained experience through being the Team Leader of my team in the AFCEA 2022 TechNet International Military and Collegiate Capture the Flag, as well as through a Cybersecurity course as part of Digital Learning's Work Integrated Learning program, and most notably through work as a Student Programmer in the Network Services Department of DND. I founded the Dalhousie Cybersecurity Society (DCSS) in September 2022, and am grateful to have had the opportunity to make Cybersecurity more accessible to beginners through the society. I look forward to gaining more experience in these fields in the future!
