The research involved working with Dr. Ann Cheney and Dr. Evelyn Vasquez in the Voicing Collegiate Recovery Project which is focused on researching and promoting recovery from substance abuse among college students. The research project involved the usage of Deliberative Democratic Forums, a research method where participants are brought together to discuss and debate various questions and ideas. The goal of the forums where to discuss further research topics and policy study focuses for the future. Duties as a Student Researcher included: - Helped to design Issue book which contained the questions asked to participants in the forums- Facilitator in Deliberative Democratic Forums which were involved various stakeholders in the collegiate recovery system. These forums were held across four University of California campuses - Performed data analysis on results from forum participants in all sessions in order to determine themes and patterns in data
