Ample is one of India’s leading players in the technology solutions and retail industry. The company is a premium retail partner of global brands such as Apple, Bose, Under Armour and ASICS with over 90 stores across India. Their premium retail stores focus on providing the best-in-class customer experience to individuals. My roles and responsibilities under the marketing department included creating standard operating procedure (SOP) documents for functions and processes of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Loyalty team. As an analytics intern, I was provided access to Power BI dashboards containing data visualisations of the customer Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and the Lead Management System (LMS) of the company. I identified key indicators of growth, compared the current FYs data with past FYs and provided suggestions regarding potential areas of improvement. Also, my managers at the firm provided me the opportunity to work on my articulation and communication skills by regularly organising group meetings where I would present my inferences from and analysis of the data in the dashboards.

Britannia Industries Ltd. is an Indian multinational FMCG company specialising in the food industry. It is one of India's oldest existing companies and currently part of the multinational conglomerate ‘Wadia Group’. Britannia is best known for its biscuit products and holds a large percentage of its market share in India.During my second semester break, I had the opportunity of undergoing corporate training at Britannia's data analytics department in Bangalore. My experience here made me proficient in using softwares such as Tableau and Microsoft Excel. Some of the tasks I undertook included reading company data for biscuit products across all segments and working with the analytics department in designing an advanced, sophisticated dashboard using a software called ‘Figma’, so as to better present brand operations data of biscuit products to higher administrative personnel.

My first project at 3R ZeroWaste consisted of launching a blog page based on topics related to sustainable development, waste management, climate change action and advocacy. My vision for this project pertained to enhancing the firm’s social presence by increasing the reach of its social networking accounts. The blog website vividly conveyed about 3R ZeroWaste’s services to visitors and contained multiple links to the firm’s webpages. The blog therefore was intended to act as a marketing funnel for the firm’s prospective clients and customers. To increase website traffic, I actively posted about recently published articles on my social media profiles.

3R ZeroWaste is an e-waste recycling service based in Haryana that aims to create a waste-free India. With its main recycling plant in Gurugram, it has collected 1,20,000+ tons (kg) of cumulative waste. Considering the current situation of waste management in India, whether in households or privately owned landfills, it is necessary now, more than ever, for the country’s youth to take initiative towards proper waste disposal. I took on this role to contribute my fair share towards environmental conservation and as part of my social responsibility towards my community.

3R ZeroWaste as an e-waste recycling firm lays great emphasis on conducting educational online seminars with acclaimed professionals associated with the waste management sector. The events included many such guest-speakers who provided insights on the latest happenings, developments and research in the e-waste sector. The seminars acted as a marketing opportunity for the firm to showcase its services to the attendees and a medium for prospective clients and customers to reach out to the appropriate personnel to learn about the firm’s services. As a part of this committee, I was responsible for attending to customer queries and inquiries.

The Parallels is a student-led startup that strives towards imparting research opportunities in STEM fields to students worldwide. With one of its focuses on the mental health of the youth, ‘The Parallels’ org. works towards assisting students in rural settings with resources and support through counselling. The organisation's core motive lies in spreading awareness for higher education among the youth and the importance of maintaining good health. I took on various roles here in order to enhance my skills in management, research, and drafting.

UIF works towards spreading the importance of education to underprivileged children, subject to child labour, poverty, infectious diseases, children with rare disabilities, abandoned/orphaned, and disaster-struck children. The foundation lays great emphasis on education for girls and women and strives for the empowerment of various disadvantaged groups. I undertook this internship to get a better understanding of the administrative processes involved in running a not-for-profit organisation that works specifically to serve the plight and struggle of the destitute echelon of society. I operated under the marketing, finance, human resource and social work departments which provided me the opportunity to interact with professionals from different spheres of the organisation.
