Business Development

Initiated an entirely new Business Division “Building Technologies (BT)” for Avanceon Pakistan to expand its systems integration capability into the buildings market to offer services in Fire Safety, integrated BMS (Building Management System) for HVAC along with Access Control, Video Surveillance, Lighting Control and other Smart Technologies sub systems. To facilitate the venture Avanceon partnered with world leader SIEMENS Schweiz AG. ­Got the team trained on Siemens technology to start pursuing business leads. Handed over the BT operations to Regional and Business Managers to take the initiative onwards. I am proud to have served AVANCEON, world top 10 CSIA certified engineering Systems Integrator, for over 16 years. Avanceon is a leading provider of industrial automation, process control, building technologies, systems integration as well as proprietary energy management solutions and support services on technological platforms of Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric and Siemens.

­Initialized & spearheaded Avanceon’s newly launched operations in Western Saudi Arabia. ­Secured new customers by offering automation and control solutions to different Sectors including Infrastructure, Water and Waste Water, Utilities, Power, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Cement, Paper, Food and Beverages.­Managed relationships with local Sponsor, Agent and OEM partners. ­Successfully coordinated and interfaced with centralized proposal and project teams for project implementation.

Energy Management­Managed operations of Avanceon’s Energy Management Solutions (EMS) business division. The division offers Automation based turnkey projects for performance monitoring and process optimization. Mentored EMS team to design, build and implement energy conservation projects. Also led development of a centralized carbon credit program to consolidate savings from EMS projects. (More details in the former role mentioned below)Key Account Management­As Key Account Manager, improved the companywide business growth with Nestlé Pakistan through refining and alignment of supply chain process with Nestlé’s requirements, better inter company relationships and expanding the domain of solutions portfolio. CRM implementation at Avanceon­Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, led the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM at Avanceon’s Pakistan and Middle East operations. Customized the sales cycle using CCS (Customer Centric Selling) buyer-driven sales process.

Created a new business division "Energy Management Solutions (EMS)" in 2005 and served as Team Lead Energy (2005-2006), Energy Manager (2007 - 2009) & Business Manager Energy (2009 -2012). ­Spearheaded P&L management, business development, energy performance contracts, sales strategies, energy proposals and project coordination with engineering and software teams. Served as Program Manager and main contact person for energy projects with customers throughout the complete project cycle. ­Introduced a new dimension of offering energy conservations projects with Guaranteed Returns. The uniqueness of the program was “pay as you save” model with absolutely no financial risk of reduced savings. ­Steered development of Avanceon’s intellectual energy products:­-iWater: A complete calculation engine for implementing demand based supply management solution through instrumentation and control systems for all industrial water pumping applications. -­iBoiler: complete boiler master control and steam management solution.-­iCompressor: Savings in compressed air systems. -­Energy Dashboard: A complete package for real-time energy and mass balance for industrial utilities including fuel, water, compressed air, steam and electricity along with Consumption profile at different business units of the plant, offering real-time view to plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from anywhere and direct connectivity to ERP systems. ­Built a dedicated team of Energy Engineers and Managers with electrical, mechatronics, mechanical & chemical engineering backgrounds. Mentored team on energy projects including feasibility analysis, energy audit, project design, costing, equipment selection, installation, commissioning and energy testing to prove tangible savings on industrial processes. ­Standardized procedures & study forms for energy audits, project designing, material selection, costing, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and energy testing to prove tangible savings.

­Introduced ways to implement automation products & solutions on industrial processes and equipment’s (boilers, compressors, generators, pumps, fans, blowers etc) to offer Automation & control based energy management projects helping customers make well informed decisions, save energy and reduce carbon footprint. ­Conducted energy audits for various industrial utilities (steam, water, fuel, electricity, compressed air and HVAC systems) and completed projects with proven tangible savings to customers. ­Managed projects including feasibility analysis, material selection, costing, marketing, defining user & functional requirements, project management and energy tests before and after implementation of projects.
