Roads provided access to general public for fishing, gaming and other recreational activities at the refuge. Project is projected to increase the volume of visitors from around the world to view exotic wildlife including birds and alligators during migration and various other seasons. The refuge is known for its natural alligator habitats and bird watching. This project was in coordination with the Federal Lands Highways Administration, Wildlife and Fisheries (Department of Interior) and Ledcor. Show less
