I am a medical graduate and obtained my Ph.D. in Immunology from Umea University, Sweden in 2007. I am the Translational Research and Engagement Manager for Precision Oncology Ireland (POI), based in UCD, Dublin Ireland. I run the Tissue Imaging Platform for POI. Our main focus is on cancer biomarker development using digital pathology. We use IHC, ISH, Multiplexing, and both quantitative and advanced AI-based image analysis algorithms for tissue-based biomarker development. We put particular attention on commercial antibody validation. Irish Cancer society award winner (Senior Researcher of the Year 2020). UCD Value in Action (VIA) award winner 2020.
