Since May 2024:Working for the Databases department, managing the Grafana Mimir squads (Query, Ingest, Upstream) in EMEA. Managing 14 back-end engineers working on developing and maintaining our open source, horizontally scalable, highly available, and multi-tenant Prometheus for Grafana Cloud and Grafana Enterprise Metrics customers.Nov. 2022 - Apr. 2024:Working for the Incident Response & Management department, managing the Alerting squad: 14 front-end and back-end engineers based in Europe and the Americas. We develop Grafana Alerting, a product that is part of Grafana and based on the Prometheus Alertmanager. My work entails:- Interacting with the open-source community on a daily basis to prioritize the development of new features and bug fixes.- Meeting our largest Enterprise customers to ensure the scalability of Grafana Alerting.- Deploying and maintaining one of the biggest Alertmanager deployment in the world for Grafana Cloud.

Working for the Databases department, managing two teams:- Query: 3 engineers based in Europe. Working on transforming Grafana Mimir from aPrometheus database to a metrics database by adding proxies for Datadog, Graphite, and InfluxDB. Owned the deployment and release of our Datadog metrics proxy and took care of the hiring of the team in the Americas.- Alerting: 8 engineers based in Europe, Singapore, and the Americas. Working onGrafana Alerting, the new alerting experience in Grafana based on the Prometheus Alertmanager. Owned the release of Grafana Alerting in Grafana 9.0 and the deployment of Grafana Alerting to all Cloud and Enterprise customers, grew the team from 2 to 8.

Working for the Kubernetes Platform team after company pivoted from Apache Mesos to Kubernetes, renaming itself D2iQ.- Working in Go on products deploying Kubernetes on AWS, GCP, and on-prem with a set of monitoring addons (Prometheus, Kibana, Grafana, Kubecost).- Release owner of two products, Konvoy and Kommander.- Certified Kubernetes Administrator by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation in February 2020.- Working remotely since March 2020.

Working for the Cluster Ops team.– Product owner of the DC/OS client and Command Line Interfaces, open source projects in Go.– Development of a shared API across the DC/OS teams by my team with other engineering teams.- Employees reporting to me, from senior software engineer to working student.

Working for the Cluster Ops team.- Development of the Mesos and DC/OS Command Line Interfaces, respectively in Python and Go. Both developments have required refactoring based on users’ feedback and new design documents. - Work on Apache Mesos. Working for the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team.– Development and use of tools made to test and deploy DC/OS on AWS using Python and Terraform.– Monitoring and development of applications that use frameworks such as Marathon, Cassandra, and Kafka.

Integration of a container scheduler (Docker Swarm) for the backend of a platform developed with Ruby on Rails. Improvements of the UX in HTML/CSS/JS, management of developer environments using Vagrant.

Update of the company’s proprietary CMS.Project and infrastructure management, development in PHP, JavaScript and MySQL.
