Dr. Hernandez-Rey completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the UMDNJ School of Medicine. He is a Diplomate Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, subspecialty in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Hernandez-Rey is a member of numerous professional societies such as the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI), the Society for Gynecologic Investigation (SGI), the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), and the American College of Surgeons (ACS).Dr. Hernandez-Rey is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University and serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for the prestigious peer reviewed journal Fertility & Sterility, and has published several articles and chapters in the medical literature.Dr. Hernandez-Rey is the only Infertility specialist certified in Robotic Surgery in South Florida, and has performed numerous procedures including tubal reanastomosis procedures, myomectomies, and severe endometriosis cases for the management of infertility.
