Armando X. Estrada is currently an Associate Professor of Policy, Organizational and Leadership Studies at Temple University. He previously served as a Senior Research Psychologist within the Department of Defense; and served on the faculty at Washington State University; The US Naval Postgraduate School; The Industrial College of the Armed Forces and the National Defense University. He earned his BS and MS in Psychology from the California State University at Los Angeles and PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso. His research focuses on two broad areas involving (1) diversity, inclusion and engagement with specific emphasis on women and minorities; and (2) leadership, teamwork and performance with specific emphasis on how cohesion, readiness, resilience and effectiveness unfolds within large scale organizations. He also has expertise in strategic planning, research and evaluation. Prior to his professional career, Dr. Estrada served in the United States Marine Corps.
