Laboratory Skills, Analytical Skills, Problem solving, Data Analysis, HPLC, GCMS, wet chemistry.As a Chemistry graduate, my goal is to be able to apply my strong foundation in chemistry to contribute to scientific and technological advancements. Problem-solving, attention to detail and analytical skills I have gathered during my MChem degree course, allow me to make meaningful contributions in areas of pharmaceuticals, material science and environmental science. I aim to work as a member of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team, continuously expanding on my skills and knowledge. I aim to eventually have a positive impact on society through scientific advancements.My MChem research projects focused on the design and development of novel near-IR absorbing organic conjugated polymers for use as semiconductors in organic solar cells. This project enhanced my synthesis skills as it allowed me to independently apply theoretical knowledge into practice without supervision. In this project I was able to use of analytical techniques such as NMR, IR, mass spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry to collect data on purity and physical properties of synthesised compounds.
