I made a decision to move into UX design after 10+ years in graphic design. Not going to lie, it was terrifying; but more often than not, risks will get rewarded, right? I sure hope so. Ha!I will always love the tactile aspect of print design. The excitement of seeing what I designed on a computer out in the wild will not get old; experiencing the weight, textures and reaction to light. Does it unfold? What's on the other side? There are a lot of tricks and techniques to connect with the audience. Now we have this world of tech which is pretty much unavoidable. Smart devices all around, touchscreens, AR/VR, haptic feedback and Google's Material Design; digital is tactile in its own right. This is what inspired me to get additional education and pivot to UX. I'm fascinated to use my knowledge of experience design with print and applying it to digital applications. My focus now is to collaborate and innovate enjoyable, meaningful and memorable experiences that brighten days. I believe good UX design is almost unnoticeable, as in the user doesn't realize how easy and helpful the product was. Great UX design is a positive experience that is remembered and talked about. That's the goal.
