During my time here as a superintendent, I also brought the greens back to life, since half of them were dead when I got here, I have also been involved in the construction of some greens, and expanding some others and installing drainage and sand channels, I was also involved in the reconstruction of the club house building, the cart barn and the driving range. During all my career I have always created excellent relationships with teammates, management, landlords, vendors, and customers. When supervisor Don Knabe was on office at the county of Los Angeles, he use to have a lot of golf tournaments for juniors and other la county events, and he requested for me to take over his course because he wanted the course to be in great shape for his events. And I was very fortunate to work with him and not let him down.

Los Verdes Golf Course

During my time here I was involved on the construction and installation of a brand new Rain Bird irrigation system, and bring the course back to life, since there was a great portion of the fairways and roughs completely bare, with no turf. I also jumped on the project of trimming the great majority of trees, since they were all low to the ground.

Chester Washington Golf Course

During my time here I continued to better my knowledge and strengths, and showed it by bringing the course back to life, specially the greens, since the majority of them were 50% bare dirt. I ended up sand channeling and installing drainage on a few of them.

Scholl Canyon Golf Course

This is where my superintendent career started, I showed what I can do, by improving course conditions a lot and work my way up to a bigger property.

During my time here I continued on strengthening my skills on the turf maintenance. I was involved in the construction of brand new cart paths and brand new bunkers, and renewing the 10 surface acre lake on this property, it was completely dried out and we installed a liner to prevent loosing any water, and we installed 10’ of concrete all the way around it. During my time here I also learned to manage water usage and manage expenses very closely, I learned how to do a lot with very little. Focus on the most important and key things, and prioritize in order of importance.

During my time here at Rec Park, I learned about the reconstruction of tee boxes, greens, the installation of a completely new irrigation system, the installation of French drains.
