Armando Teixeira-Pinto, BSc MSc PhD, is a Professor of Biostatistics at the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health, The University of Sydney. He started his career as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Porto (1996), was a visiting researcher at University of Sheffield (1998), a statistical consultant at Children’s Hospital in Boston (2002-04) and a teaching assistant at Harvard University (2004-2006).After completing his masters and PhD in Biostatistics at Harvard University in 2007, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Porto (Portugal). In 2012, he joined the University of Sydney and in 2020 he was promoted to full Professor. Prof Teixeira-Pinto published more than 150 articles in indexed journals. He is author of a chapter in a Statistical textbook, co-authored the Technical Manual of the Dementia Evaluation Scale 2 and several editorials.
