My major contributions involved engineering a new architecture (HFC project) for the coaxial network segment 4.5M HPs in size, budgeted at €50 million for network upgrade and developing new methods for executing the Fibre to the Home (FTTH) Access Network project architecture V1 to V2. My key accomplishments included:♦ C-Level Executive communication and leadership.♦ Implementation of 6 national rings at 100 sites in the DWDM Backbone project budgeted at €5 million, which yielded ROI in less than 12 months.♦ Deployment of High Capacity MEF L2 Enterprise Network, which was a fully redundant, highly reliable Global Conversion for major failures of about 50ms. It had the capacity to implement 1024 national rings and was credited for 80% reduction in MPLS cost, and brought several other benefits.♦ Development of IT applications with Georeferentiation, for mapping network and simulation (technically on link budget and other network properties), financial (CAPEX, OPEX, ROI and NPV), based on new or existing materials as well as existing or new network regions. Also, indexed to a variety of architectures produced by XML Schemas. The same functional application was used for HFC and FTTH.♦ Creation of innovative HFC to FTTH evolution architecture that was comparatively more reliable, cost-effective and had other benefits to HFC.♦ The HFC to FTTH evolution architecture promised ROI in 10 months, reducing additional labour, time, or equipment replacement. ♦ Considerable improvements on Field Operation techniques and methodologies to reduce OPEX for the Backbone & Access Network.♦ Reduced CAPEX by 20% and improved time-to-market by 50% for the FTTH Access Network.♦ Negotiation, Implementation, Measurement/improvement of KPIs and other metrics, to meet business requirements, improve availability and OPEX.♦ All the mentioned activities were applied to the entire network, Fixed, Mobile and Client, Information Technology (IT), and Field Operation in Overlap.
