About Armando Graziano

It is safe to say that I have been obsessed with the maritime domain and ships since I was a child. At that time I wanted to be the captain of a submarine; however, that did not materialize. Even if for a short time, I have been a seafarer. An experience which allowed me to develop a closer understanding of operations on board ships. In addition, I have also worked in the technical department of a shipping company which helped me to grasp the management side of shipping. Experiences, both, which represent the two sides of the same coin.However, the bulk of my professional career comes from international experience at national, EU and United Nations professional environments. I learned how to deal with high-level officials of foreign countries, industry representatives as well as managing projects from a research, administrative and financial perspective. As far as my competencies go, I believe that my strength lies in a diverse combination of public and private working experiences bound together by a robust academic foundation.
