Rentway recruited my services to oversee the Greater New Orleans territory, because of my previous successful history in the Rent to Own Industry in this territory with Rent A Center. Within eighteen months I was able to build a complete new management team and was able to turn the market profitable again for the company.In August of 2005 we were devastated by Hurricane Katrina. We lost 5 stores completely, 3 were severely damaged and the other four were closed for a period of time. Within 30 days of the Hurricane I was able to establish a centralized communications center in which we managed all claims and serviced customers. We were able to re-establish them with products and started servicing their accounts.Through all the adversity of the Hurricane our Region ranked 1st within our Division of 11 Regions and 6th in the Company out of 106 Regions for a period of a year. -
