Signature Programs Coordinators play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the Office of Signature Programs and Events. From aiding in the development of the whole event staff, to facilitating smooth event operations during Shark Preview Weekends, an SPC must use their superior leadership and organizational skills to ensure the office's success. SPC responsibilities include:- Supporting the execution of Shark Preview programs and Commencement/Convocation by serving as a mentor, role model, and advocate for the undergraduate student staff.- Overseeing Shark Preview Recruitment and Hiring processes.Becoming well-versed in and adhering to the Office of Signature Programs policies and procedures.- Supervising, training, and developing SSPLs and SPLs.- Designing activities and programming that promote team bonding, mentorship, and ongoing staff development.- Managing social media and team communication.- Tracking staff performance and maintaining work records.

A Shark Preview Leader (SPL) consists of serving as the leader for student and guest groups during Shark Preview Weekends throughout January, February, March, and April. Responsibilities include: - Respect and courtesy of other university students, guests, staff, and administrators before, during, and after office events, programs, and activities.- Attend and actively participate in all Shark Preview Leader training, meetings, and program sessions.- Participation and leadership for office programs including Shark Preview sessions, and other NSU events as needed.-Preparing student and guest materials for Shark Preview and office programs.- Public speaking and small group facilitation of students, parents, and staff members on a variety of topics.- Thorough and accurate tours of Nova Southeastern University’s campus and servicesManagement of Shark Preview evaluations for students and guests- Careful and considerate operation of university vehicles (vans, golf carts, etc.), with the obligation to local, state, and federal road regulations for the purpose of university-sponsored events and activities.

As the Scrum Master for the Software Engineering Course, I facilitated Agile processes, guiding teams through the Scrum framework to ensure smooth sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. My responsibilities include: - Conducting Scrum ceremonies (software engineering management style, which includes sprint planning, weekly stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings.)- Facilitating collaboration and communication of 4 teams, ensuring all teams are aligned and working towards the same goals.- Monitoring team performance and progress and regularly updating the professor on project status via presentations that include use cases, data flow, sequence, and entity-relationship diagrams.
