I’m Armani, a second-year Computer Science major at Florida State University, passionate about programming and problem-solving.After taking three years worth of programming and Computer Science courses in high school, I was selected to win the "Young Computer Scientist" award in my senior year award ceremony. This is what kickstarted my motivation to continue pursuing Computer Science well into college.As the Contest Chair for FSU’s ACM Programming Contest, I lead the organization of one of the university’s largest STEM events, with hundreds of participants each semester. I work closely with question writers, volunteers, and professors to ensure a seamless and exciting contest experience. My role includes managing a GitHub repository for contest problems and solutions, hosting weekly meetings to track progress, and coordinating with students and professors to maximize participation.In addition to my leadership role, I have experience as a Learning Assistant for FSU’s Introduction to Programming course, where I’ve supported over 290 students in understanding fundamental programming concepts. I collaborate with a team of several other Learning Assistants and Teaching Assistants to provide widespread availability for office hours and recitations.I am currently trying to branch out and gain experience in a variety of tech and software-related fields so I can determine what's the best fit for me.
