Dr Armelle Chabot is a French senior researcher (Academic) assigned, since 1999, to University Gustave Eiffel (ex. IFSTTAR, ex. LCPC). Both in Structure and Material Mechanical Sciences, she obtained a M.sc. in 1990 at l’Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI), a PhD at the Ecole des Ponts Paris Tech (ENPC) in 1997 and a HDR degree from the University of Nantes in 2013 (tel.archives-ouvertes.fr/tel-00848650). She taught as a senior lecturer at ENPC and as a Lecturer (ATER) at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan. In 1998, Dr Armelle Chabot got a Post-Doc at ENPC and a CNU Senior Lecturer France Distinction (MdC N°60). At ENPC, she has developed five new Multi-particle Modellings for the prediction of delamination in Multi-layered Materials (M4) (tel.archives-ouvertes.fr/tel-00197853/). At LCPC, she has contributed to the development of ViscoRoute©LCPC, 2009 software for the numerical simulation of moving loads on asphalt pavement (https://doi.org/10.1080/14680629.2010.9690274; https://viscoroute.univ-eiffel.fr/about). During 4 years (2006-2009), Dr Chabot has chaired a LCPC research program on “Physical Bases of Mechanical Behaviours of Materials in Pavement Structures”. Since 2001 and 2004, she is a member of the French Mechanic Association (AFM) and several RILEM Technical Committees (TC) respectively. As the Deputy Chair of the International RILEM TC 241 on “Mechanisms of Cracking and Debonding in Asphalt and Composite Pavements” (MCD - 2011-17) that has published the State-of-the-Art Report V28 (2018), she chaired the 8th Rilem Int. conf. MCD2016 ( Rilem Bookseries V13, 2016). As an ex-member and friend of TRB, she co-chaired the 6th Int. APT conf. (Springer LNCE 96, 2020).Main fields of interested: Simplified mechanical modelling of cracks and interlayer delamination in multilayer structures; bi-layers lab test for the determination of debonding initiation and propagation criteria; Contribution in the developments of Engineer tools; Assessments of modelling predictions on full-scale accelerated tests for future (urban and smart) pavement structures.
