As a teaching assistant, I had the privilege of instructing and reinforcing MATLAB coding practices to approximately 150 students over four semesters. My acceptance into this role required demonstrating proficiency in MATLAB coding and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate course material to all students. Additionally, I was responsible for hosting multiple weekly office hours outside of class, which enhanced my time management and communication skills. Furthermore, I was tasked with grading student projects and homework submissions accurately and promptly.

As an intern at CDM Smith, I created hydraulic simulations using AFT Fathom in order to analyze flow data and correctly size pumps. In this role, I was able to take control of a large hydraulic modeling project due to the sudden resignation of a senior engineer. I also edited and created engineering drawings using Bluebeam Revu and AutoCAD in order to accurately reflect additions and changes to project scope as well as specific client requests. Following my second summer, I was honored with first place in CDM Smith’s company-wide summer internship competition, surpassing over 150 peers. This achievement was a testament to my exceptional networking, technical, and communication skills, which were highly commended by CDM Smith.
