Mapping and Charting Officer in the Emerging Technology department at Ordnance Survey Northern Ireland as a researcher in GIS and Remote sensing. Tasks included: • Aerial Survey - member of flying team, LiDAR and aerial imagery data collection, processing and product creation• Providing SME support to procurement and implementation of new photogrammetry software. • Lead research and development of Northern Ireland's Green Map • Research for 3D mapping and investigation of creating digital twin for Northern Ireland

Six month career break from Ordnance Survey NI to Abu Dhabi, acting as geospatial consultant and advisor for national mapping company.Tasks included: • Maintaining and providing SME advice on mapping and charting, supporting delivery of Operations • Providing geospatial expertise for bids and tenders as necessary • Program and project management • Production monitoring• Managing budget for Operations• Research in new technologies and their application within National Mapping such as AI and Deep Learning

Employed on temporary contract as a photogrammetrist. Used stereo photogrammetry to ensure the map database was of high accuracy and up to date within the Positional Improvement and Revision projects.Researched and implemented methods of automatic feature detection using 4-band near infra-red imagery for rock detection.

The iMAP project was to introduce secondary school pupils to the real world applications of GIS. As a key member to the GIS technical team I designed and wrote a practical workshop session to promote geospatial data and its potential capabilities.

As part of my MSc a module of work experience was completed. At Fugro-BKS I researched the impacts of post processing on 4 band near infrared imagery and the potential to use this high resolution (10cm) dataset along with lidar and photogrammetric point clouds to detect linear boundaries.
