AccountabilitiesOversight and direction on:Administrative team: Managing Director of Corporate and Financial Resources; Senior Managers of Human Resources, Hospitality Services, Information Systems, Government Services, Promotional and Commercial Partnerships, Events and Building Services.Budget: Development and Strategy for the budget of approximately $20 MillionOutcomes: Ensures the effective, efficient, economical and equitable administration of the USC.Quality: Ensures that the USC’s operations promote the delivery of high quality programs and services to meet the needs of students meeting specific goals within the context of available resources.Risk Management: Ensures that the USC identifies, assesses and prioritizes potential risks and drafts a plan to monitor limit them.Leadership: Supports the development of student leaders. We use Event Management Software to keep track of the daily demands and requests across the building.Also act as Project Manager for the General Manager in all areas required; Strategic Plans, Large Scale Events, Portfolio based projects and any large undertakings which require the Project Management philosophies and techniques applied. Oversight of IT and Information Systems department - giving direction to the website and very creative Senior Manager and department as we attempt to keep up with this ever changing field and ever changing demands.Oversight of Productions Department which produces 7000+ events yearly from large scale speaking events to coffee house style events in a variety of venues around the UCC building. 50+ staff used in many different capacities makes for lots of opportunities for experiential learning by students.Finally - act as part of the senior advisory team to the General Manager to consult on all parts of the corporation. Oversight of operations and building at a high level. Maintaining adherance to budget and Director vision as well as feedback and directives to the management teams. Using the Project Management model we break large work orders (Construction, Strategic Plans, Events, Capital Plans etc) into smaller piece and the work is directed through the position. This ensures accurate usage of resources (financial or human) and timely results on budget.

Manage projects ranging from construction projects to Strategic plans for the corporation as delegated by the General Manager. Keeping multiple departments focused while overseeing the timeline, budget and overcoming issues to a completed product.

Contracts for Subway Sandwich restaurants, Burger King, Surgicos (Johnson and Johnson division) and dental/physician office spaces as examples.Small crews, hands on supervision and trade management.
