Heidenhain is a world-leading leading manufacturer of digital readouts, linear/rotary encoders, TNC/CNC controls, and motion systems with 5 global entities. As CFO for all North American interests, I partner with the CEO while guiding a team of 100+ across Accounting, Finance, HR, IT, and Legal. I also meet regularly with the senior executive team and our Board of Directors to develop metrics-driven, 5-3-1 goals, and OKRs. Highlights-- RESTRUCTURE → Spearheaded shutdown of NY plant and shift of production to Illinois that improved operational efficiencies. Worked closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth transition, prepare new warehouse, and retain top talent. TEAM LEADERSHIP → Coached managers through 3-year OKR project that catalyzed a cash increase. Conducted weekly meetings with leaders to guide approach and remove roadblocks. Every team surpassed all key metrics. TRANSFORMATION → Sparked several automation transformations that streamlined systems, reduced costs, and mitigated critical risk. Initiatives allowed for organizational agility during COVID-19 and scalable long-term solutions related to major tax reporting changes.

CVP Systems (recently acquired by Middleby Corporation) is a global food packaging/machinery manufacturer and reseller of packaging consumables consisting of 3 separate companies. While serving as CFO, I managed Accounting and HR across all companies and led a team of 4 to produce financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. Another important aspect to this position was executing monthly financial reporting, then tailoring presentations to owners, sales, and management stakeholders. Highlights— REPORTING → Created monthly variance reports that drove a new era of business intelligence. Partnered with CEO to communicate implications to the production team. Our improved metrics reduced labor inconsistencies and bottlenecks. STRATEGIC POSITIONING → Strategized with CEO and owners to position company as attractive acquisition target and secure buyer. Assembled pitch deck for investors and leveraged reporting to a build strong case to investors during negotiation.

Lovejoy is the most recognised manufacturer of flexible couplings and multi-story, powder metal presses in the world. As Controller, I oversaw individual and consolidated financial statements, break-even analysis, budgets, and ad hoc reports for 30 trusts owning 14 manufacturing, leasing, distribution, and holding companies in the US, Canada, and Germany.

I was promoted from Operations Manager to Corporate Analyst and then to Corporate Controller. As Controller I partnered with CEO on M&A discovery and acquisition. I also led the integration and consolidation of new manufacturing plants.
