I work to identify and develop algorithms to leverage ICEYE’s unprecedented collection of SAR data collected on a global and coherently repetitive basis (GTR).

Develop algorithms to exploit SAR imagery for intelligence purposes such as oil storage and maritime monitoring.

I am currently playing with an AdaFruit Circuit Playground which I am using to make a suit with sound and motion reactive LED strips and eventually wings, controlled by servo motors, that utilize persistence of vision display. Batteries for all suit electronics will be stored under sculptural shoulder pads. I am also involved in several other DIY projects (CNC machine, animatronic cat ears)I am documenting my making activities and plan to launch a website soon with those as well as writing/activism/dance activities. These endeavors have brought me into multi-rate DSP (again), Git, SVN, Apache, Verilog, C++ and Ardunino

I worked on the post detection processing chain, comprised of 15 algorithms, written in python, that narrowed all detections above an energy threshold to (ideally) one detection per target per dwell. Development effort included use of collaboration tools such as Perforce, Jenkins, Bamboo, and Confluence. I also worked on the IQ parser, which parsed raw packed binary data from the ADCs into various formats for data recording or injection at that point in the system, or for use in the simulator for which I wrote the PDP chain. I also proposed the framework, ultimately implemented and effective, for organization of test data by event and purpose.

I was responsible for the design of various databases for the implementation of positive train control on AMTRAK commuter trains. I also work on software design (writing applications, deployed as standalone applications, in MATLAB) for analysis of odometry data for New Jersey Transit, as well as higher level system design. Upcoming work in C++ software design also for New Jersey Transit.

Recent projects include development of a Kalman filter for time series data for inventory control of a high frequency market maker and the development of a contract bid for Complex Biosystems for a power monitoring and control system for Long Island Rail Road.

I joined the new product development team as a hardware designer for a trial period of 6 weeks. Unfortunately I was unable to ramp from virtually no HW experience to a high level of expertise fast enough. I did, however, learn a lot,meet some great people, and have a lot of fun!

My past responsibilities have included testing and validation of software as well as analysis of communications protocols such as ASCOBus II (An internally developed protocol), and MODBUS. I have gained extensive experience with technical documentation and tracking of issues from identification to resolution. I have also written a variety of small pieces of much larger embedded systems and worked with other engineers to integrate them into the larger system. More recent responsibilities include design of a controller for a switch mode power supply using a novel method. I am currently testing the design. Coming up I would have been designing and implementing both a proprietary CAN protocol and a fully CANopen compliant communication system for a new product.I have researched the subject at length.

I worked one semester as a TA for graduate digital signal processing and one semester as a TA for undergraduate Electromagnetics. For the DSP class I held well attended exam review sessions in addition to the regular grading responsibilities. For Electromagnetics I gave one lecture a week focusing on questions relating to the homework assigned that week

I worked as an RA under Dr. Mark Fowler for two summers: between my Junior and Senior years of my BSEE and between my senior year and my first graduate year. I refined Stein's emitter location algorithm by removing moving average filters and adding very precise finite impulse response low pass filters, resulting in a 10 fold improvement in accuracy. I also implemented my own polyphase interpolation and decimation routines, adding depth to my understanding of multirate DSP.

I worked in a variety of restaurants, including Moosewood, The Statler Hotel at Cornell University, and Maxie's Supper Club. I started as a dishwasher and rose to Sous Chef in 4 years.
