Hello! I'm Arnab Taranga (he/him), entering my 4th year of a B.A. in Sociology with an Honours degree and a minor in Criminology at the University of New Brunswick (UNB).Passionate about policy, politics, and advocating for minority rights and social justice, I’m currently working in two impactful roles at UNB. As the Accessibility Outreach Facilitator with the Student Accessibility Centre, I develop programs and strategies to better connect with students with accessibility needs, amplifying their voices. Additionally, I serve as an Arts Recruitment Assistant for the Faculty of Arts, where I help promote the Faculty to prospective students through events, newsletters, and campaigns.This past summer, I worked as a Student Project Manager within the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training, and Labour at the Government of New Brunswick. In this role, I led a research team focusing on anti-racism data collection strategies to address systemic racism in the province, presenting key recommendations in a final report.I’m also proud to have co-founded the UNB Heart To Heart program in collaboration with the Mi’kmaq-Wolastoqey Centre and the International Students Advisor's Office, fostering Indigenous awareness on campus and creating a more inclusive environment.
