As a member of R&D, I led a team in designing, developing and delivering scalable and resilient products.We explored new business models and product extensions with proof of concepts and technical discovery through rapid prototyping.We explored how to utilize new technology or applying old technology in new ways to fill into technology gaps.Since September 2020, I was as a consultant in this role at Controlant.Controlant is a Internet of Thing (IoT) company delivering value across the end-to-end supply chain by increasing the visibility of product quality conditions and location, while minimizing waste through a completely new category of automated Cold Chain as a Service® solutions.

I assisted businesses in delivering Operational Excellence with focus on Data and Automation.From September 2020 I exclusively helped Controlant a Internet of Thing (IoT) company digitally transforming the Global Supply Chain. Building automation solutions (Virtual Control Tower) for safe delivery of Pfizer COVID vaccines around the world.Projects I worked on included Data and Automation, Business Process Improvements, Business Intelligence (PowerBI), Kaizen workshops, Executive Coaching, Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Working Capital.Clients were technology, retail and manufacturing companies.

We traveled to United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand and Spain.In June I walked solo Camino de Santiago (Camino Francés) from St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago de Compostela roughly 800 km.

Responsible for procurement of pharmaceuticals, healthcare, medical and other products that Distica purchases, imports, warehouses and distributes for the healthcare sector, laboratories and consumer market.Provided team members support, vision and strategy to be the Center of Excellence in Supply Chain Management.Was part of Distica board of directors were operational and strategy decisions were agreed upon.Implemented team structure, visual boards, daily LEAN meetings, reinforced communication throughout the supply chain, applied significance categories on products, created dashboard to prevent stock outs and improved processes that reduced paper trail by over 50%. This resulted in being able to sustain decided days in stock without having impact on set service level and decreased medicine shortage catalog by 20%.Developed and implemented Transaction Based Model (Activity Based Model) for Distica supply chain. It handles transactions that include import, logistics, goods reception, storage, stock keeping, pick, pack, distribution and returns. The model delivers better view over the supply chain and opportunities for improvements.Responsible for all communication with external suppliers, transportation companies and lead communication with larger customers.Distica handles approximately 65% of pharmaceutical distribution in Iceland, in addition to managing distribution of various other products for the healthcare and consumer markets.
