Job Responsibilities:The Director of Supply Chain Management is responsible for leading the development and execution of supply chain optimization strategies to meet the direction of product and service offerings made by Art.com. - Improve the supply chain to meet the future product and service specifications to include: fill rate, on-time vendor delivery, vendor order fill accuracy, and vendor damage rate percentages- Analyze and influence change to current methods as they relate to the supply chain- Create and enforce business processes that ensure timely, accurate, and automated data flow (collection, processing, storage, and analysis)- Synchronize supply and demand through collaborative planning and forecasting processes- Work with operations to coordinate inbound activities that ensure timely receipts that result in improved order fill percentage- Lead changes that positively improves internal/external picking and packing methods- Provide executive-level insights and analysis to assist in establishing inventory management and logistics strategies appropriate for a global supply chain, optimizing the balance between sourcing, customer service requirements (fill rates) and company inventory investment- Ensure that web estimated ship dates promised to the customer at purchase are a true representation of lead times required by vendors and the overall fulfillment chain- Drive supply chain performance in achieving cost, quality, and time-to-market fill rate objectives, combining to facilitate meeting our corporate Net Promoter Score (NPS)- Understand back-office systems and web site representation of data- Identify and execute other supply chain improvements

• Ownership for global MOP (monthly operations plan) process. • Manage forecasting, manufacturing planning and control processes & systems for the global business unit. • Optimize inventory levels to meet customer service, business continuity and cost objectives throughout the global distribution network linking suppliers, customers, distributors and warehouses. • Lead a team of buyers/planners. • Set department policy for conduct of inventory and planning activities, objectives, goals and with ultimate alignment of organization around meeting customer and compliance obligations. • Utilize IQP (Lean Six Sigma, VSM and other tools and techniques) to optimize SCM processes and execution of key activities. • Provide the primary communication point between SCM and other functions for products in the Value Chain. • Manage all aspects of a products status in order to meet customer order requirements. Track each product through the supply chain process. • Develop process maps, cycle times and assist in cycle time optimization. • Monitor capacity planning at warehouse, vendor and internal manufacturing facilities
