Job Responsibilities:The Director of Supply Chain Management is responsible for leading the development and execution of supply chain optimization strategies to meet the direction of product and service offerings made by Art.com. - Improve the supply chain to meet the future product and service specifications to include: fill rate, on-time vendor delivery, vendor order fill accuracy, and vendor damage rate percentages- Analyze and influence change to current methods as they relate to the supply chain- Create and enforce business processes that ensure timely, accurate, and automated data flow (collection, processing, storage, and analysis)- Synchronize supply and demand through collaborative planning and forecasting processes- Work with operations to coordinate inbound activities that ensure timely receipts that result in improved order fill percentage- Lead changes that positively improves internal/external picking and packing methods- Provide executive-level insights and analysis to assist in establishing inventory management and logistics strategies appropriate for a global supply chain, optimizing the balance between sourcing, customer service requirements (fill rates) and company inventory investment- Ensure that web estimated ship dates promised to the customer at purchase are a true representation of lead times required by vendors and the overall fulfillment chain- Drive supply chain performance in achieving cost, quality, and time-to-market fill rate objectives, combining to facilitate meeting our corporate Net Promoter Score (NPS)- Understand back-office systems and web site representation of data- Identify and execute other supply chain improvements

• Ownership for global MOP (monthly operations plan) process. • Manage forecasting, manufacturing planning and control processes & systems for the global business unit. • Optimize inventory levels to meet customer service, business continuity and cost objectives throughout the global distribution network linking suppliers, customers, distributors and warehouses. • Lead a team of buyers/planners. • Set department policy for conduct of inventory and planning activities, objectives, goals and with ultimate alignment of organization around meeting customer and compliance obligations. • Utilize IQP (Lean Six Sigma, VSM and other tools and techniques) to optimize SCM processes and execution of key activities. • Provide the primary communication point between SCM and other functions for products in the Value Chain. • Manage all aspects of a products status in order to meet customer order requirements. Track each product through the supply chain process. • Develop process maps, cycle times and assist in cycle time optimization. • Monitor capacity planning at warehouse, vendor and internal manufacturing facilities

The Global Supply Chain Manager is responsible for worldwide inventory and service levels. - Determine inventory policy throughout the supply chain - Review replenishment targets monthly and approve changes noting input elements resulting in change - Diagnose service level failures and understand corrective actions being taken to prevent reoccurrence - Diagnose excesses to inventory objectives and develop plan to remediate- Calculate and report on EE&O - Identify and approve exceptions to "fair share" inventory allocation rules - Generate weekly level-loaded net requirements for manufacturing - Monitor manufacturing and distribution channels - Maintain forecasts - Manage net requirements - Manage production order release - Monitor manufacturing execution - Provide inventory analysis - Proactively manage backorders - Understand Regional strategies -May manage or provide work direction to Global Supply Chain Demand Planners and Analysts - Represent the supply chain on new product development teams; - Analyze economics of inventory investment to determine the optimal inventory build given launch assumptions and risks- Define pre-launch inventory objectives by region as well as the regional launch sequencing.- Communicate launch strategy to supply chain community - Orchestrate the monthly S&OP process, prepare documentation and facilitate the associated meetings - Marketing handshake - Manufacturing handshake - Presentation material development - Monitor supply chain performance (i.e. physical flow, allocation, master data, and intervene as required to ensure optimal performance) - Achieve divisional Performance Metric goals/objectives - Report on service level and inventory performance - Identify changes in a products life cycle (i.e. new to mature, mature to discontinued) and adjust planning approach accordingly - Manage and facilitate the Schedule Adherence process
