DISTILLER is a leading company specialized in industrial waste management, focusing in solvent recovery and sewage treatment. The company has two production plants in Barcelona and Soria, with more than 100 employees.As Operations Director, I am responsible for the definition and execution of the company’s operational strategy and for the management of daily operations. I manage and coordinate two production plants, leading a team of over 75 in production, logistics, quality, maintenance, HSE, and systems areas. My main responsibilities include:• The definition and execution of the company's operational strategy.• The Establishment and monitorization of performance objectives and KPIs.• The Establishment and monitorization of regulations related to the Chemical/Waste industry and various certifications such as ISO, APQ, Reach, Seveso.• The supervision of operational processes to meet company goals.• The analysis, supervision, and execution of new projects.Key Achievements:• Design and implementation of a new ERP: This system has enabled the integration of all company operations into a single ERP, significantly improving the production efficiency and the company's overall performance.• Increase in profitability: Through a detailed study of profit margins and a better production planning.• Opening of a new thermal oxidation process line: Implementation of a new thermal oxidation process line for residual solvents at the group’s two plants, with an investment of 10 million €, enhancing waste management and operational efficiency.• Operational Management: Annual management of over 90,000 tons of chemical product.

Riera Group is a group of companies focused on managing and developing investment projects, on managing public private partnerships in sports centers and shopping malls, and on construction. Data 2008 (250 employees, Sales: 85MM€) Data 2011 (55 employees, Sales: 8MM€). The main company of the group was in a bankruptcy process from December 2008 to September 2010.My tasks as Deputy General Manager and member of the board for the companies of the group were: definition and fulfillment of the strategy, corporate development, coordination of cross-functional working teams, development of financial models and planning, budget follow-up and periodic presentations, development and implementation of viability plans, liaison with investors, banks and public administrations, and leadership of a sports center business unit. To emphasize: •Realized the strategic definition, the financial models, the feasibility plan and the negotiation with the creditors that allowed the main company of the group to leave behind a 30MM€ debt bankruptcy process achieving an 80% approval from more than 400 creditors. •Led the restructuration of more than 40MM€ debt in 15 companies of the group in Spain, Portugal, Hungary and Romania.•Achieved break-even in first year of operations on the sports center business unit (yearly sales 1MM€).•Established processes and developed KPI’s and a balanced scorecard to obtain accurate information of the company performance.

My tasks as CIO and COO leading a team of 12 employees were: the roll out of new projects and analysis of new business opportunities, due-diligences, international expansion, feasibility studies, purchasing negotiations, equity raising, project finance, liaison with investors, banks and public administrations, project management and corporate development. To emphasize:•Diversified the group by creating a public private partnership sports center business unit, 5MM€ investment.•Internationalized the group by opening and managing branches in Budapest, Bucharest and Lisbon to develop real estate investment projects, 35MM€ investment.•Analyzed more than 200 investment projects, including a 240MM€ due-diligence aimed to buy a Portuguese company, and realized more than 30 investment proposals.•Realized feasibility studies of sports centers for several public administrations.•Designed and implemented an organizational restructuration within the group affecting all workforce.
