My name is Arn Cenedella. I founded Spark Investment Group to provide busy professionals (like you) access to vetted, cash-flowing real estate investing opportunities that are not only recession-proof, but also provide above average returns at very little risk. There are countless paths to follow when investing in real estate, but which is the most rewarding? Which is most efficient with your money, or more importantly, your time? My story is a unique one, and I’m here to share it with you. After graduating for the University of Michigan in 1978 with a Master’s Degree in Physical Chemistry, I decided to leave academia and return to my San Francisco Peninsula roots. My father Hal had a residential brokerage business in Palo Alto and Menlo Park CA and I joined the firm many decades ago. Hal taught me the brokerage business but even more importantly he taught me how to safely and profitably invest in real estate. Over a period of time, I developed a strong brokerage business and the income generated created capital that was in turn put into real estate investments both in the SF Bay Area and in Austin TX. I built a sizable single family rental portfolio over the years. After decades as a Silicon Valley broker, Laura and I were ready for a change and we moved to Greenville SC in 2014 and love the lifestyle here - vibrant, dynamic and fun but at a slower more peaceful pace than what we had grown accustomed to in the Bay Area. At the outset of COVID, a light bulb went off in my head and I transitioned by SFR rental portfolio into multifamily assets and have not looked back. It was a change I should have made a decade earlier. In 2020,, I founded Spark Investment Group and grew the company to $130MM+ of multifamily AUM in the Carolinas with a special focus on Greenvllle SC where I and my primary operational business partner live. Greenvllle is home to BMW, Michelin and GE and is located midway between Atlanta and Charlotte on the booming I85 corridor. I’m commonly asked what I would recommend to new investors or busy professionals that would like to move away from Wall Street and begin investing in real estate.
