I am a Senior Systems Architect with focus on network systems and I've got a deep understanding of the whole of communications systems, spanning from fixed to wireless, gained from 30+ years of experience. My speciality is overall network architecture comprising data-plane, control-plane, and management plane functionality. I have a thorough knowledge of network structures and layering, and masters a diversity of technologies, e.g. transport, packet, and mobile/wireless, both in WAN and LAN applications. I possesses expertise knowledge about IP, MPLS, Ethernet, switching/routing, ATM, mobile networks/3GPP/ORAN and 802.11 (WiFi).I often work in leading roles (technical) in projects developing different networking products, both mobile and wireline, and is an interested and good mentor with renowned pedagogical ability.During later years, network virtualisation has become my major area of work. I have gained a thorough understanding of, and outlook over most technologies and concept used in the network virtualisation context, including SDN SD-WAN, NFV, containerisation, orchestration, and service application.I'm happy when a manage to marry these new concepts with my general understanding of networking, to create innovative applications in the landscape of virtual networking.
