Clients: StatoilHydro, ConnocoPhillips and Deep-Sea Bergen DriftMy job in ODT consisted of following tasks:• Bids (estimate and write the formal tender).• Study (Lead multidiscipline studies and responsible of writing the study report, responsible for the mechanical scope, as well as estimate and plan the engineering and installation phase)• Engineering (Producing documents and work packages for installation, responsible of reporting progress, monitoring the cost and report variance, contact and get prices for purchasing as well as consider and choose the supplier, follow on the procurement, plan and go through the job with the ODT installation leader. Follow the installation during the process.)• As-build (hand over the documentation to customer in accordance to the LCI- Requirements, responsible for the client acceptance)• Field engineer offshoreMake offshore surveys when necessary during all the phases.Meeting with clients and the users. The experience included leading meetings and presenting the projects. The work included scope from various disciplines like piping, E&I and structure in small modifications projects, in addition to the mechanical responsibility in medium and larger sized projects. In my time in National Oilwell I worked with pipe handling equipment. My main tasks were as follow: Mechanical design, make detail drawings and assembly drawings. Make installation procedures, spare parts list and other standard documentations. I followed up the assembly crew on the workshop, rigged up the machines on Forus for tests and striped down the machines for deliveries to customers.In December 2001 I was in Singapore and installed a StarRacker (Pipe handling machine) for ENSCO Drilling.The work included experience with the programs: Inventor, AutoCad, SAP and standard microsoft office programs.
