I was the first employee hired at Braxton Technologies Inc. in March of 1998. It was an exciting time. I worked with Bill and Loraine Simpson, Co Owners, putting together what ended up being a company beyond compare in the industry. It was actually all Greek to me at the time but over time I began to understand what an AceCP ControlPoint™ or an AceSim were and how they were supposed to fit in with the whole Satellite Command and Control Network and/or AFSCN. My responsibilities were grounded in the high level areas of the business. I was the webmaster early on after I self taught myself HTML. From the beginning I was the BBQ cook and facilitator for the annual company BBQ as well as having company HR responsiblities. I was also responsible for coordinating all of the Trade Shows we attended as well as any shipping to and from and development of booth theme & decor. I was also the purchasing, shipping & receiving manager. To fill in my time I worked as the assistant to the Sr Network Engineer in different areas and handled all the soldering for our special cabling on the I/O cards used in our software configurations. Early on we had a couple of contracts at Onizuka, in Sunnyvale, CA, with the NRO and I got my first sense of the importance of what we were doing. In that TS/SCI environment my appreciation for the Simpsons and our lead software programmer Mike Tupper was very high because I saw the depth and knowledge-base needed for what we were doing. As time progressed, around 2002, we developed a need for a Facility Security Officer. I was that guy. My responsibilities were to learn and setup interaction to the JPAS website which handles all clearances for what we were doing. I handled all the security clearances for our company and used the e-Qip system for submitting SF86 paperwork while maintaining individual clearance needs. This was necessary to maintain records and communicate with DISCO, the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office.

After 25 years of managing restaurants I ended my restaurant career at Giuseppe's in Pismo Beach, CA, I must say I loved it. It topped off an incredible lifetime of meeting some wonderful people and being part of some beautiful hospitality situations. Over my years in the Industry I was the manager of the Plantation Gardens Restaurant on Kauai in 1976 (http://www.pgrestaurant.com/). My time at Victoria Station Restaurants began in San Francisco where I worked when I graduated from San Francisco State University in 1972. I entered restaurant management in 1973 with VS. Exciting times for me back then. Over the years I ran a catering company in Fort Worth Texas called Colonial Catering. Their claim to fame was being the official Texas BBQ caterer for LBJ at the White House in the 70’s. As the Catering Manager at Colonial Catering I did my first Mary Kay Cosmetics convention which was an awesome experience. ‘Starting Here, Starting Now’ was the theme that year in 1985. I got to know Mary Kay personally. Our company ended up doing four years of MK Conventions. We also did another Texas BBQ for George H. Bush (41) at the White House in 1989 and then a Birthday party for Prince Rainer (yep, of Monaco) at the Bunker Hunt Ranch outside of Fort Worth. There were about two miles of stretch limos, very impressive. Before that I also had the pleasure of being the Food & Beverage Director at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel on Maui in 1978 & 79. This hotel is one of the oldest hotels on the island and is guilty of being full of Hawaiiana. The soul of Hawaii.I must say Giuseppe’s was a fine end to an incredible career for me. This restaurant is still in full swing and is located in Pismo Beach California. Go there for a visit and eat while you enjoy the Love.
